Ruth Rufledt, age 91, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at The Maple Wood in Bloomer. She was born September 30, 1920 in the Town of Woodmohr to Theodore and Marie (Elias) Johnson. She married Richard Rufledt on June 16, 1942 in St. Louis MO. She and her husband owned and operated Cedar Inn Resort on Marshmiller Lake near Bloomer for many years. She was an active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and WELCA, an excellent cook and seamstress, and enjoyed dancing, playing cards and games, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by one daughter: Janice (Frank) Hurt of Schofield WI; one daughter-in-law: Linda Rufledt of Bloomer; five grandchildren: Mike (Lisa), Amy and Pat (Ann) Rufledt, Katie and Gina Hurt; six great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Richard; one son: Steven; two brothers: Norman and Raymond; and one sister: Helen.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer with Rev. Joel Olsen officiating. Interment will be in the Rufledt Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 on Tuesday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
