Vernon L. Patz

Vernon L. Patz, age 79, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the Veteran’s Home in Chippewa Falls. He was born June 16, 1942 in Blue Island IL to Carl and Ellen (Mark) Patz. He married Marian A. Romski on March 22, 1968 in Jersey City. Vern served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and came home to work on the farm. He was an active member of Freedom Community Church and enjoyed gardening and farming. The most important thing to Vern was family and he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter: Kristine (Wayne) North; sons: Charles (Linda), Brian, Vernon Jr, Jeffrey (Jackie), Daniel (Laura) Patz and Brian Lee Millermon; brothers: Lloyd and Duane Mark; sisters: Carolyn (Randy) Michaelis and Corinne (Dan) Hassemer; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Marian; one granddaughter: Stephanie Patz.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Twin Lakes Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at Freedom Community Church in New Auburn. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
