Valorie Kay Parrish, age 55, of Rice Lake, WI passed away Friday, August 2, 2019 at her home. She was born in Rice Lake on January 9, 1964 to Benjamin M. and Joanne Grace (Ellison) Parrish. Valorie’s childhood home was Grove Street in Bloomer WI. She attended Bloomer elementary and middle school and graduated from Bethel Christian School in Eau Claire WI. She worked as a CNA in Eau Claire WI. Valorie married Joseph Eliason on April 18, 1993 and they were later divorced. Valorie enjoyed making crafts, doing hair and music. She loved playing piano and guitar as well as singing often. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Valorie treasured her time together with her three “miracle” sisters and her daughter whom she called “her whole world”. Valorie will be missed by her friends and family.
Valorie is survived by her daughter: Jessica Kay Grace Cynthia Eliason and her fiancé: Aaron Hamlin of Ladysmith; grandchildren: Cody James and Rosalie Grace; father: Benjamin M. Parrish and step-mother: Nancy (Reiter) Parrish of New Auburn; brother: Mark Parrish of Elk Mound; sisters: Michelle (Christopher) Coryell of St. Charles MO, Rachel (John) Farrell of New Auburn and Lena (Dakota) Pawlak of New Auburn; aunt: Sharon (Brian) Bannister of Chippewa Falls; uncle: Robert (Mimi) Parrish of Maryland; 6 nieces, 4 nephews, numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Joanne “Jan” (Ellison) Parrish and brother: Michael B. Parrish.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Freedom Community Church in New Auburn with a visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Lunch will be served at the church after the service. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
