Timothy E. Stelter

Timothy E. Stelter, age 61, passed away at his lake home, surrounded by family and friends, after a valiant fight with esophageal cancer on Sunday, August 3, 2014. He was born on January 23, 1953 in Milwaukee. Tim’s parents were Edwin “Blondie” and Margaret (Schmidt) Stelter of Bloomer. He married, the love of his life, Terri Bleskacek on June 26, 1976 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer. Tim was the third generation owner of Stelter and Son’s Elevator in Bloomer. Tim’s favorite place was on the water, spending winters in Florida on Marco Island and summers on Lake Holcombe. Tim enjoyed sitting around the fire, fishing, cruising on his boat, waterskiing, and spending time with family and friends. He also was a member of the Bloomer Chamber of Commerce, Bloomer Community Club, and liked golfing, hunting and NASCAR Races, making an annual trip to Michigan each year with his friends. Tim was loved deeply by his wife and daughter and will truly be missed and remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife and daughter: Terri and Casie Stelter of Bloomer; brother: Joel (JoAnn) Stelter of Elk Mound; sister in law: Debra (Ben) Rubenzer of Bloomer; mother-in-law: Joan Johnson of Bloomer; stepmother in-law: Janice Blesckacek of Bloomer; nieces: McKenzie Rubenzer, Stephanie (Patrick) Bostrom; nephew: Joshua Stelter; Canine companions: Maggie and Zeus

He is preceded in death by his parents: Edwin and Margaret; sister: Julie Stelter; father-in-law: Gerald Bleskacek; stepfather-in-law: Kenneth Johnson; grandparents: Oscar and Esther Stelter, Robert and Anita Schmidt; special family friend: Jeanette Smetana

Funeral Services will be held St. John’s Lutheran Church on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the North Catholic Cemetery following the service. There will be visitations from 4:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, August 7, 2014 and Friday from 10:00-10:45 at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer.
