Thomas R. Boehm, age 69, passed away at Dove Health Care in Bloomer on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. He was born on July 1, 1950 in Rudolph, Wisconsin to Wallace and Florence (Schwersinske) Boehm. Tom worked in the trucking industry for much of his life. He married DeAnne Horstmeyer in 1982. He loved being on the road, drag racing and fishing. Tom was an active Bass Tournament fisherman fishing in BASS and bass clubs including Midwest Bass with many first-place finishes including the honor of being the number one for bass in the State of Wisconsin in 1997. He also was a drag racer, his car being a 1965 Dodge Coronet named Blue Bayou. Tom raced for several years in the early 2000s with the Nostalgia Super/Stocks club. He was an accomplished fisherman and drag racer. He will be missed by all his fishing and racing friends.
He is survived by his wife: DeAnne of Bloomer, children: Lynn (Wayne Richardson) Yaeger of Colfax, James (Jennifer) Boehm of Chippewa Falls, Jason (Renee) of Elk Mound; step-children: Dikka Rasuschenberger, Madison, WI; Charles L. Rauschenberger IV, Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren: Rebecka Yaeger of Menomonie and Jade Yaeger of Baldwin; brother: Daniel (Judy) Boehm of La Crosse sister: Candyce (Michael) Sarauer of Bloomer, numerous nieces nephews other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents: Wallace and Florence; brother: Ronald Boehm; step-daughter: Denyse Esperson and in-laws: Arnold and Wyla Horstmeyer.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, November 1 at St. Paul’s Catholic North Cemetery with Fr. Victor Feltes presiding.
