Steven North

Steven A. North, age 57, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010. He was born June 17, 1952 in Garrison, North Dakota to Warren & Marlene (Rolstad) North. He married Colleen Trowbridge on October 30, 1971 at the United Methodist Church in New Auburn. He worked as a hydro electric operator and as a carpenter. He belonged to New Life Alliance Church in Cornell and the Eau Claire Carpenter’s Union. Steve was known for his unique sense of humor and enjoyed riding horses, hunting, four-wheeling, being outdoors, working on hot-rods, attending his grandchildren’s events and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother: Marlene of New Auburn; wife: Colleen of Cornell; three daughters: Kelly (Dennis “Duke”) St. Aubin of Cameron, Stephanie (Jeff) Van Gilder of Rice Lake & Robin (Nick) Jones of New Auburn; three brothers: Danny North of New Auburn, Toney (Pat) North and Mark (Debbie)North all of New Auburn; one sister: Cindy Skaw of Bloomer; seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father: Warren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Assembly of God Church in Bloomer with Rev. Jim Brandli officiating. Interment will be in the New Auburn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 on Monday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
