Steve Metcalf

Stephen J. “Steve” Metcalf, age 65, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Meadowbrook in Bloomer. He was born in Bloomer to David and Loretta (Schoonover) Metcalf. He proudly served his country in the US Navy and the US Army. Steve worked as the lead plastics technician for Phillips Manufacturing for many years. He enjoyed shooting pool, watching the Packers, fishing, motorcycles and cars, especially Camaros.

He is survived by his sons: Travis Metcalf of Bloomer, Jamie (Angie) Metcalf of Menomonie and Chris Metcalf of Chippewa Falls; sisters: Janice Schimmel of Chetek and Elaine (Ron Shield) Stuckert of Bloomer and Sue (Gary) Nehring of Bloomer; brothers: Edwin (Sandra) Metcalf of Bloomer and Bruce (Patricia) Metcalf of New Auburn; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: David and Loretta Metcalf; sister: Margaret “Margie” Maire and her husband Tom; brothers-in-law: Clint Schimmel and Jim Stuckert.

Due to current restrictions private services will be held at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer.
