Selma Elaine Lee (Olson)

Selma Elaine Lee, age 95, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Hetzel Care Center in Bloomer. She was born December 22, 1918 in Eagle Grove, Iowa to Ole S. & Anna (Huus) Olson. She married Roy Lee on May 12, 1940 in Holms, Iowa. Selma was a kind and caring women who loved helping others. She enjoyed music, small group bible studies and spending time with her children, grandchildren and her friends

She is survived by one son: Nathan (Peggy) Lee of Fresno CA; daughters: Merline (Norman) Rufledt of Sand Creek, Eunice Gross of Terre Haute IN, Jane Lee of St. Paul MN, Sharon (Skip) Lien of Clovis CA, Ruth (Dan) Ostergaard of Olathe KS & Lois Lee of Vancouver WA; three brothers: Arnold Olson of Clarion IA, Stanley Olson of Mason City IA and Luther (Bev) Olson of Webster IA; one sister: Signorna (Ken) Stolhammer of Hibbing MN; 12 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Ole and Anna Olson; her husband: Roy; brothers: Joseph, Paul, Orville, Merle, Donald, Stanley & Philip; sisters: Arlene and Jeanette.

A funeral service will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church in Joice, Iowa on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kevin Olson officiating. There will be a visitation at 10:00 AM at the church with a lunch following the 11:00 service. Interment will be in the Rake West Cemetery in Rake IA.
