Rosemary L. Gunn

Rosemary L. Gunn, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at home with her loving husband by her side. 

Rosemary was born on September 19, 1941, in Ladysmith, WI to Harry and Natalie (Silvernell) Peterson. 

Rosemary graduated from Bruce High School and on June 25, 1960, Rosemary married Clayton Gunn at Island Lake Church of Christ. For her and Clayton’s 50th Wedding Anniversary, they treated themselves to a 91’ Sunbird convertible and she loved to cruise around with the top down. She spent a fortune taking care of her birds and flowers. She also enjoyed puzzles, cooking, singing and collecting toys and carnival glass. 

Rosemary is survived by her husband of 64 years: Clayton Gunn; children: Dale (Jeanne) Gunn of Lake Hallie, Scott (Connie) Gunn of Bruce, Pamela (Ron) Wedlund of Greensbouro, NC and Stacy (Dan) Deprey of Pewaukee; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother: Bruce (Winnie) Peterson of Wisconsin Rapids; sisters-in-law: Carol Peterson and Vivian Peterson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Natalie Peterson; 11 siblings: Paul, Larry, Marshall, Ralph, Dean, Gustav “Bud”, Natalie Melsaard, Maxine Siegel, Ruthann Metzdorf, Barbara Evenson and Maureen White; 2 infant siblings; and 2 infant grandchildren: Audriana and Christine.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Island Lake Cemetery, town of Big Bend.
