Norman F. Davis Sr, age 77, passed away at Wissota Health and Rehab in Chippewa Falls on Thursday, June 12, 2013. He was born on October 29, 1936 to Malcolm and Doris (Bauer) Davis. He married Betty Lake on August 18, 1954 and later divorced. He proudly served in the US Air Force from 1954-1957 and then was a self employed mechanic at D & D Silo. Norman enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, working on cars, making maple syrup and had a passion for Nascar Racing and truck pulls.
He is survived by his children: Norman Jr. “Bud” (Tracy) Davis of New Auburn, Vicki (Al) Larson of Chippewa Falls, Carol (Harold) Gale of New Auburn, Jackie (Paul) Prince of Jim Falls, Donald (Tracey McNamara) Davis of New Auburn, Gary (Kari) Davis of Altoona; siblings: Lois Fluegal of Ohio, Joyce Bohl of Chippewa Falls, Jerry (Charlotte) Davis of New Auburn, Ronald (Cindy) Davis of Texas, Lloyd (Rhonda) Davis of Chetek, Dana Davis of New Auburn, Dennis Davis of New Auburn, Susan (Dale) Rosenbrook of Bloomer; special friend: Carol Thompson of Chippewa Falls; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Malcolm and Doris; siblings: Francis and Darlene
A funeral service will be held on Friday June 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a visitation 10:00-11:00 AM before the service. Interment will be at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Spooner following the funeral. A celebration of life will be at the Chetek VFW post 10331 following the military rites in Spooner.
