Nancy E. Morgan, age 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire surrounded by family. She was born May 26, 1935 in Eagleton, Wisconsin, to Robert and Margaret (Rasmus) Liehe. She married Bob Morgan on June 8, 1957 in Eau Claire. Nancy was a teacher in the Chippewa Falls School District and left teaching to become a full-time mom, which was her greatest passion in life. After her children were in school she returned to working in the Janesville School District. Our "Nanny" was a forgiving, self-sacrificing wife and mother and a humble servant with a sweet and gentle spirit. She was an avid reader and loved playing cards, games and working crosswords. Nanny enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting and musical events. She was so proud of their accomplishments and celebrated their uniqueness. Her favorite place to be was on the porch overlooking Axehandle Lake where they lived for the past 26 years. There she enjoyed pontoon rides, sitting around the campfire listening to her children and grandchildren's music, and spending time with family and many special lake friends.
She is survived by her husband: Bob of New Auburn; two sons: Steve (Terry) Morgan of Orlando FL and Mike (Kathy) Morgan of Janesville WI; two daughters: Kelly (Larry) Prescott of Lakeville MN and Robin (Bob) Zydowsky of Victoria MN; one brother: Chuck (Susan) Liehe of Eagle Idaho; two "seestors": Dianne (Redgie) Beaudette and Mary (Ed) Phillips both of Eagleton WI; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
