Monte E. Shufelt, 67, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019 at home in his sleep.
Monte was born April 17th, 1952 in Hannibal, WI to Leslie and Edna (Couillard) Shufelt.
On June 26th, 1970 Monte married Debbie Cunningham in Ladysmith, WI.
Monte worked as a farmer for much of his life and at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer for the past several years. In his free time he loved hunting, fishing, going to auctions, spending time family, especially his wife, kids and grandkids. Most of all he loved God and wanted his kids and grandkids to know and love Him.
Monte is survived by his wife Debbie; three children, Todd Shufelt of Chetek, Terri (John) Luke of Bloomer, and Michelle (Grant) of Mondovi; 4 grandchildren, Tyler and Thomas Luke, Cole Shufelt and Millie Larson; three brothers: Darrel (Shirley) Shufelt of LaCrosse, Jerry (Lois) Shufelt of Gilman and Earl (Peggy) Hinkle of Gilman; three sisters: Erla Cheatham of Bartlett, IL, Dianne (Vic) Lauer of Chippewa Falls and Sandy (Steve) Lechleitner of Holcombe; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Dennis
Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 6th at Rice Lake Seventh Day Adventist Church. There will be a visitation from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. that same day. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
