Milo A. Klatt

October 8, 1947 — August 26, 2020

Milo Alvin Klatt, age 72, joined the love of his life in heaven on August 26, 2020. He passed away peacefully, visiting his love and caring for her resting place. Milo was born October 8, 1947 in South Dakota to Walter and Hildegard (Frentz) Klatt. On June 27, 1970, he married Petra Mueller. They loved each other dearly and spent over 45 years together.
Milo served his country honorably in the Navy and fought for his country in the Vietnam War. Milo returned home and farmed most of his life. Working as a herdsman in Jim Falls and Chippewa Falls for many years, until the day that Petra and he bought the farm in Bloomer on Hwy DD. Milo loved his three girls; he affectionately placed “Milo Klatt and Girls” on the front of the barn. He was proud that his girls could do as much as sons. For years he enjoyed creating beautiful ceramics and wood creations with his wife, Petra. He always had a western next to his chair. He genuinely loved watching his grandchildren grow, play sports, and fish/hunt with him.
Milo is survived by his two daughters: Wendy (Freddy) Mohr of Florida and Christine (Lee) Olson of Chippewa Falls; four grandchildren: Kodie (Stacy Johnson) Bodwin, Cole Bodwin, Kyle Olson and Chaz Ann Olson; siblings: Fred (Marcia) Klatt of Bloomer, Lila Bischel of West Salem WI, Illa “June” Evans of Bloomer, Marlowe Klatt of New Auburn, and Julius “Jay” Klatt of Bloomer; brothers-in-law: Carl Mueller of Cadott and Harold “Harvey” (Debbie) Mueller of Bloomer; sister in-law: Judy Mueller of Eau Claire; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Milo was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Hildegard; his beautiful wife: Petra; brother: Marvin Klatt; sisters: Twilia Hartung and Stena Susajlo; step-brothers: Bob Klatt and Ken Klatt; brothers-in-law: Carl Hartung, Duane “Tim” Evans, Vernon Bischel, Wolfgang “Peter” Mueller, Robert “Bob” Mueller, Willie “Bill” Mueller; sisters-in-law: Vista Klatt and Kathleen “Kathy” Mueller.
Heaven shines a little brighter with the arrival of Milo. You have touched our lives in ways you will never know. Rest in peace and know you will never be forgotten. You remain in our hearts forever and always.
