May B. Koch, age 90, passed away Wednesday November 12, 2014 at MCHS in Bloomer. She was born on May 5, 1924 in the town of Cooks Valley to William and Lela (Burke) Rihn. She married August Koch on August 4, 1962 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer. She worked at Presto during WWII, as a hairdresser in Bloomer and as a cook for the Bloomer Civic Center. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the Women of the Moose in Bloomer. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons: Bill (Michele) Koch of Bloomer and Terry (Kathy) Koch of Sturtevant WI; daughter: Laurie Koehler of Bloomer; sister: Evelyn Rich of Dixon IL; eight grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Lela; husband: August; brothers: Ted, Robert and Paul Rihn; sister: Elizabeth Ziebell; son-in law: Tim Koehler.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer. There will be a visitation from 4:00-8:00 PM on Friday November 16 at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery following the service.
