Mary Ann Bischel

Mary Ann Bischel, age 68, passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. She was born on November 16, 1956, in Ladysmith to Joseph and Mary (Novotny) Cicha, Jr. She married Norbert Bischel on June 7, 1975, in Tony, Wisconsin. Mary Ann loved being a mother and was a dedicated homemaker while working on the family farm. She also worked in food service for various establishments in the area. In her “spare time” she enjoyed sewing, gardening, taking care of others and spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved her grandchildren and sharing her love of Jesus with everyone.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years: Norbert; daughters: Angie (Shawn) Powers of Eau Claire, Carrie (Blair) Teig of Bloomer, and Jeana (Brad) Sykora of Bloomer; 4 grandchildren: Andrew and Abigail Teig, Bradley and Gabriella Sykora; her mother: Mary Cicha; 14 siblings: Betty (Jerome) Timp, Teresa (Phillip) La Pointe, John (Ruth) Cicha, Judy (Ray) Malisheski, Tony (Lisa) Cicha, Mike Cicha, Cathy (Jeff) Klaver, Bernadette (Francis) Franzen, Christine (Bret) Hankes, Patrice (Michael) Winsand, Lucy (Paul) Frederick, Monica (Tate) Sorensen, Joseph Cicha, and Ruth (Jason) Rudolph; numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father: Joseph Cicha; son: James Norbert Bischel; father and mother-in-law: Jerome and Lucille Bischel.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with Rev. Wayne North officiating, with a visitation on Tuesday evening from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the spring in the North Catholic Cemetery.
