Margaret Smalley

Margaret C. Smalley, 92, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Hetzel Care Center in Bloomer. Margaret was born October 18, 1917 in the Town of Sampson to James and Clara (Taylor) Larson. She married George Smalley on August 21, 1934 in the Town of Sampson. Margaret enjoyed her life as a homemaker. She was a selfless woman and enjoyed a simple life, making due with what she had. She enjoyed playing solitaire and was known for her delicious bread and pies.

She is survived by one son: Duane (Terry Ann) Smalley of Cadott; three daughters: Lorraine Birk of Indianapolis IN, Sharon Dehnke of Osseo WI, Charlotte (Randall) Henry of Lewisville TX; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband George; sister Ruth (Robert) Mattson, and grandson Brian Birk; daughter-in-law: Florence Smalley; sons-in-law: Roger Dehnke & Fred Birk.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, May 14, 2010 at Island Lake Church of Christ with pastor David Willingham officiating. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 12:00 PM until the time of service on Friday.
