Lisa Baldry

Lisa L. Baldry, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Bloomer, WI after a brave struggle with cancer that ultimately accelerated her lifelong battle with rheumatoid arthritis. 

Lisa was born on January 1, 1966, in Bloomer to Bernard and Elva “Jean” (Peaslee) Black. She attended New Auburn High School and graduated with the Class of 1984. Lisa attended CVTC and worked as a paralegal at the Owen-Williams Law Office in Barron, WI. On September 17, 1994, Lisa married Roy Baldry at Bethel Lutheran Church in New Auburn. 

She was very musically talented and you could find Lisa in a local tavern playing instruments or singing her favorite songs. Every year, Lisa looked forward to the Fall when hunting season came around, both in Wisconsin and in Montana. Lisa also loved her Lord and Savior, gardening, baking, spending time with her family, but the grandchildren were especially near and dear to her heart. 

Lisa is survived by her husband of 30 years: Roy Baldry; children: Brandon (Shaina) Baldry, Marissa (Ian Rosenbrook) Baldry, and Cody Baldry; grandchildren: Noah and Sammy Peet, Hoyt and Knox Baldry; brother: Joe Black; sister: Lori Pickthorn; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents: Bernard Black and Elva “Jean” Hughes; daughter: Brittany Baldry; and brothers: Steve and Carl Black.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Olson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Bloomer Cemetery.
