Leslie E. Conrad, age 95, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Chippewa Manor Nursing Home in Chippewa Falls. He was born August 1, 1913 in the Town of Bloomer to Albert “A.C.” & Pauline (Bansemer) Conrad. He married Dorothy Stilley on June 25, 1944 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bloomer. Leslie worked as a dairy farmer read meters for Chippewa Valley Electric, and also worked for Equity Livestock, White Birch Inn and Heyder Evergreen Farms. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting pool and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife: Dorothy of Bloomer; one daughter: Judy and her husband, Tony, Bohl of Bloomer; one sister: Lorraine Rufledt of Bloomer; one brother-in-law: Lawrence Stilley of Dayton OH; two grandchildren: Jon & his wife, Tina, Bohl of Bloomer and Brian & his wife, Terri, of Bloomer; three great-grandchildren: Nicole, Rebecca & Jacob Bohl.
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers: John, Paul, Leonard, Albert, Jessie, Harry & George Conrad; five sisters: Margaret Conrad, Ida Oldenberg, Clara Peterson, Rose Conrad & Lilly Groeneveld.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bloomer with Rev. John Backus officiating. Interment will be in the Auburn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 �" 8:00 on Sunday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
