Lavera M. Pritchard, age 97, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010 at The Maple Wood in Bloomer. She was born May 1, 1913 in Dodson, Montana to Emil & Emma (Zutter) Berg. She married Norman Pritchard on January 6, 1934 in Eau Claire. She worked as a waitress at Anderson Hotel in Bloomer and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking (her specialty was angel food cake), shopping and visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters: Arlene (Richard) Mohr of Bloomer and Peggy (Irwin) Benson of Bloomer; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nine great-great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Norman; one daughter: Sandra Lea Marquardt; one grandson: Jeffrey Norman Mohr; one great-granddaughter: Kelly Hartman; one brother: Ewald Berg; two sisters: Leona Ackley Foss & Lorraine Mamek.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer with Rev. Bruce Rimmereid officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday at St. John’s Lutheran. There will be no visitation Tuesday evening. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is in charge of arrangements.
