Kay J. Baier

Kay J. Baier, age 85, passed away on April 24, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

Kay was born on May 6, 1937, in Bloomer to Frank and Irma (Compeau) Kunsman. On May 31, 1958, Kay married Donovan R. Baier in Bloomer.

Kay worked at Catalytic Combustion and AJ Manufacturing. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed bowling, golfing and spending time with her family; especially playing with the grandchildren in her backyard.

Kay is survived by three sons: Mark (Jackie) of Bloomer, Matthew (Carlos) of Houston, TX and Mitchell (Jessica) of Bloomer; one daughter: Michelle (Rick) Bowe of Lake City, MN; siblings: Robert (Marie) Kunsman of Altoona and Sharon (Bob) Olson of Midland, MI;  

six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Jean Kunsman and Alice Kunsman.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Irma Kunsman; husband: Donovan in 2012; infant son: Michael; brothers: Richard and Roger; and great granddaughter, Stormi.

Visitation will be from 10-11 am, on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer followed by a private family service. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.  Online Condolences may be expressed at olsonfuneralhomebloomer.com
