Judith Jecevicus, age 70, passed away at her home on Sunday, September 10, 2017. She was born March 28, 1947 in Wadsworth IL to John J. and Anne (Steponavich) Jecevicus. She was married to Dennis Jouppi and later to Michael Gatts. She was a loving mother, an excellent seamstress and enjoyed the challenge of repurposing anything. She was a talented artist, enjoyed crafting and wood burning and crocheted hundreds of hats which she donated to the needy. She loved scaring people and went so far to design and organize a haunted trail hike.
She is survived by her daughters: Teresa Jouppi of New Auburn, Wanda (Curt) Crotty of Chippewa Falls, Dawn (Kent) Sykes of Waupaca WI, Serena (Bill) Marten of Belgium WI and Anita (Jeremy) Harelstad of Hillsdale WI; her sons: Wayne (Amanda) Jouppi of Chippewa Falls and Timothy Nelson of New Auburn; her brothers: Bill (Janice), Peter (Renee), Michael (Debbie) and Charles “Tom” (Rita) Jecevicus; her sisters: Patricia Carlson, MaryAnne (Carl) Thompson and Suzanne (Jim Olson) Jecevicus; 19 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Anne Jecevicus; her brothers: Anthony and John Jecevicus; her twin sister: Julia Guthrie; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 12:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. There will be a visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cleveland Cemetery.
