Jorden V. Peil

Jorden V. “Jordy” Peil, age 85, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 18, 2020. He was born on October 12, 1934 in Bloomer to Peter N. and Gladys (Kirkman) Peil. Jordy married Margaret Urban on November 15, 1958 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Tilden. He was a heavy equipment operator doing road construction for American Materials. He was a proud member of Operating Engineers Local #139. After retirement Jordy began creating scroll woodworking and intarsia. He was a jack of all trades and was able to fix anything. He loved working in his yard and tending to his garden. Family was the most important thing in Jordy’s life and loved spending time with his grandchildren.


He is survived by his wife: Margaret of Bloomer; children: Debbie Peil of Phoenix AZ, Jeffery (Jennifer) Peil of Charlotte NC, Peter Peil of Phoenix AZ, Missy (Jim) Duex of Chippewa Falls; brother: Merlin Peil of Bloomer; sister-in-law: Betty Peil of Brighton IL; grandchildren: Jordyn Peil, Sydney, Noah, Kamryn, and Isaac Duex; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Peter N. and Gladys; sister: Marilyn (Leon) Koehler; brother: Ronald Peil; sister-in-law: Diane Peil

Graveside Services will be held at St. Catherine’s Cemetery on HWY 64 in Bloomer on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 11:00 AM with a celebration of life following the service at the North Park on 9th Avenue in Bloomer. Please direct memorials to St. Paul’s Catholic School. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
