Jane Joy Turner

Jane J. Turner, age 86, passed away at her home on Thursday, March 13, 2014. She was born on May 29, 1927 to Earl and Estelle (Stone) Granberg in Minnesota. She married Charles Thornton Jr. on October 19, 1946 and after his passing in February of 1978 she married Delmar Turner in May of 1979. Jane was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Bloomer and the WELCA. She worked as a nurse’s aid at the Maplewood in Bloomer. Jane loved flowers, but her greatest joy was to volunteer and to help others.

She is survived by her five sons: David (Chris), Scott (Terry), Todd, Brad and Brent Thornton; stepdaughter: Marilyn (Steve) Schlender; brother: Neil Granberg; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren,

She is preceded in death by her parents: Earl and Estelle and her husband’s: Charles and Delmer

A memorial service will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Bloomer on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 3:00 PM with a visitation from 2:00-3:00 PM at the church before the service.
