Jane N. Gunderson

Jane N. Gunderson, age 94, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at MCHS in Eau Claire. She was born February 18, 1930, in Winona, MN to Millard M. and Esther M. (Nash) Barlow. She married David Gunderson on May 31, 1958, at the First Congregational Church in Bloomer. Jane worked as a bank teller before her chosen career as a homemaker. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Bloomer where she served as church treasurer, the GFWC Bloomer Women’s Club where she served a term as president and an active member of Bloomer VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a volunteer at the Bloomer Hospital and delivered Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed gardening, baking, taking walks, and visiting with her many friends. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, spending numerous hours babysitting and attending countless sports games and activities.

She is survived by her husband: David of Bloomer; children: Jill ( Randy) Jones of Bloomer, Jon (Dawn) Gunderson of Trafalgar, IN and Beth (Andrew) Abrahamson of Bloomer; grandchildren: Benjamin (Larisa) Jones, Sarah (Jason) Bischel, Laura Gunderson, Anna (Nathan) Daniels, Erik (April) Abrahamson, Amanda Abrahamson and Julie (Shawn) Ewig; great-grandchildren: Katlyn and Braden Jones, Chase and Colton Bischel, Autumn Powers and Agnes Abrahamson; sister: Nancy (Donald) Rowe of Florida; numerous other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents: Millard M. and Esther; brother: Donald Barlow, and sister: Bonnie Bauer.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church in Bloomer with a visitation from 9:30-11:00 AM at the church. Lunch will follow at the White Pine Pavillion. Burial will take place at a later date at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.
