James Herbert Davis

James H. Davis, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer. He was born on August 26, 1936, in New Auburn to Herbert and Eldrid (Chatfield) Davis.
Jim attended New Auburn High School and after graduation he honorably served his country in the US Navy. On September 9, 1961, Jim married Marie Massey at Concordia Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Jim started working at Waldorf Paper in St. Paul, MN in 1961, and retired as Chief Engineer of the power plant.
Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marie; children, Mark (Debby), John, Timothy, and Ann; grandchildren, Amber, Alisha, Nathan, Katlyn, Briana, Benjamin and Jacob; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Richard (Judy), Michael, Mary Hetchler, Florence Davis and Pamela (Mike) North; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry; and brother-in-law, Roger Hetchler.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am, on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Island Lake Church of Christ, N1990 State Rd. 40, New Auburn, WI 54757. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
