Ione Cole

Ione Hetty Cole, age 91 passed away on Monday November 14, 2011 at Mayo Clinic Health System Bloomer. She was born on May 14, 1920 in Bloomer to John and Louise “Lucy” (Muenich) LaGesse. She married the love of her life Howard Cole on May 10, 1941. Ione was a domestic engineer, caring for her husband and their four children. She was a religious woman who was strong in her faith. She had a true green thumb and loved gardening. In her free time she enjoyed dancing, listening to music, sewing and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters: Karen (David Klade) Cole, Kathleen Montford, and Kristine Cole; son: Howard (Wendy) Cole; brother: Louis LaGesse; sisters: Naomi Sudbrink and Laurie (Allan) McDonald; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; special friends Noel Johnson and Annie Stangas; numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Howard Cole; brothers: Earl, Norman, Clifford, and Lowell LaGesse.

A memorial service will be held at Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall at 23648 CTY HWY Q in New Auburn, on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
