September 19, 1942 — July 15, 2024

Gordon Vern Hetchler, 81, passed away at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer on Monday, July 15, 2024. He was born on September 19, 1942, in Cornell to Francis and Helen (Halvorson) Hetchler. He married the love of his life, Cindy Lou Woodcock, on September 6, 1969, in Chippewa Falls. Together they lived and raised their children in Bloomer, New Auburn, and Tilden.

Gordon worked for Uniroyal-Goodrich Tire Company for many years.  He loved to fish and hunt, and was always up for a good game of checkers or sheepshead with family and friends. He will forever be remembered for his altruistic nature, always putting others first, and his willingness to help anyone out that needed a hand.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Lou Hetchler, in 2015; his parents, Francis and Helen Hetchler, and half-brother, Kenny Hetchler.

He is survived by his children, Traci Hetchler of Ft.
