Goldene Frank

Goldene Louise (Rufledt) Frank passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022 at her home at the age of 88.

She was born on July 9,1934 to Florence (Hazel) and Edward Rufledt. “Deenie” as she was known to some, grew up in Dutch Flats north of Bloomer on her parents farm. She and Verdon (Jim) Frank married on September 10,1955 in a double ring ceremony with her sister Rhodora and Francis Robey. They celebrated 59 years together before Jim's death in 2015.

Goldene was a beautiful soul, kind, sweet, gentle and caring. She never had a cross word for anyone and was a blessing to all who knew her. She enjoyed word puzzles, journaling, cross stitch, embroidery and especially spending time with her family. We all enjoyed her quick wit and keen sense of humor. A memorable story of her tender heart was when she was a child and found a dead baby chick. She felt so bad for the tiny thing. She wrapped in a tissue and hid it in her dresser drawer, where it stayed until her mother noticed the smell.

Goldene was so loved and cherished by her family. She lived her faith and was an example of Christian love. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Eagleton where she belonged to the Ladies Aid.

Goldene is survived by her children: Margery Hansen; Ronald (Roberta) Frank; Lisa (Donald) Prill; Carol (Darren) Rust. Grandchildren: Gina Durch (Mike Lesik); Brandon Frank; Derek, Jacob, Aaron, Elijah Prill; Jonathan and Julia Rust. Brother: Norbert Rufledt. In-laws: Dale Frank, Wayne (Linda) Frank; Loris (Gerald) Seibel; Mae Frank; B. Jean Frank. Many nieces and nephews.

Goldene was preceded in death by her parents: Hazel and Edward; her husband: Jim; granddaughter: Bethany; siblings: Florence (George) Yakesh; Evelyn (Lawrence) Toufar: Rhodora (Francis) Robey; Norman (Marilyn, Merline) Rufledt. In-laws: Irene and Ira Frank; Geraldine (Errol) Huhn; Lillian (Chet) Novak; Ardis (Chuck) Frenz; Claire (Louise) Frank; Arlyn Frank; Duane Frank; Joyce (Gary) Vetterkind; Ken Reeves.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Olson's Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour before service at the church. Services will be at 11:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Eagleton on Monday, October 17, 2022 with interment in the Rufledt Cemetery.
