Gerald Hell

New Auburn Gerald L. Hell, age 81, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at his home. He was born September 5, 1928 in Mt. Carmel ND to Isadore & Olive (Meyer) Hell. He married Martha Illerbrunn on October 15, 1949 in Mt. Carmel. He worked as a carpenter and farmer. He was a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church where he spent many hours repairing & building things. He enjoyed horses, cows, John Deere tractors, playing cards, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife: Martha of New Auburn; one son: Doug (Sheree) Hell of New Auburn; four daughters: Sharon Lotts of New Auburn, Joanne (Mike) Shipman of Bloomer, Sandy (Ron Hanson) Hell of Bloomer & Lisa Hell of St. Paul MN; two brothers: Harvey (Jan) Hell of South Dakota & Henry (Ora) Meyer of Seattle WA; two sisters: Chelda (Stan) Slama of Milton ND & Doris Puelston of Burnsville MN; ten grandchildren & five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son: Douglas; two brothers: Alan & Dick Hell; one sister: Audrey Stoeser; one son-in-law: David Lotts.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in New Auburn with Father James Arthur officiating. Interment will be in the North Catholic Cemetery in Bloomer. Friends may call from 4:00 �" 7:00 on Thursday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer where there will be a Christian Wake Service at 6:30 PM.
