Donald C. Donaldson

Donald Donaldson, age 69, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at MCHS in Eau Claire. He was born July 12, 1949 in Chippewa Falls WI to Elwood and Nina (Christopherson) Donaldson. He married Linda Bautch on December 2, 1972 at New Hope Lutheran Church in Sand Creek After graduating from High School, Don worked for Presto in Eau Claire and American Materials in Chetek. From 1983 – 2013 he owned and operated Donaldson’s Trucking and Excavating. Throughout his life he lived in Sand Creek near his family and friends. Don enjoyed motorcycling, metal detecting, gathering with family and friends, meeting around campfires, bowling, playing dirty clubs and holding his special companion, a cat named Liz.

He is survived by his wife: Linda of Sand Creek; son: Nathan (Tonya) Donaldson of Sand Creek; siblings: Bill (Rhonda) Donaldson of Fond du Lac, Larry (Amy) Donaldson of Fond du Lac, Sandra Dewitz of Eau Claire, Rebecca (Kim) Fostvedt of Eau Claire and Scott Donaldson of Sand Creek; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Elwood and Nina Donaldson; grandparents: Henry and Pauline (Peterson) Christopherson, Mildred Menard Donaldson, Lewis and Viola Donaldson; brother: Steven Donaldson; niece: Nicole.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 30 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at New Hope Lutheran Church in Sand Creek.
