David J. Morning

David J. Morning, age 70, passed away at his home in Colfax on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. He was born on July 12, 1954, in Chippewa Falls to Wilfred and Iylah (Rudie) Morning. Dave was a truck driver, hauling construction equipment for several companies out of the twin cities and also a mechanic for Jensen Brothers in Albertville. Dave was a quiet soul with simple tastes. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, grilling out, playing the machines and having a Windsor/Coke while visiting with his friends and neighbors.

He is survived by his mother: Iylah Morning; children: Sonny (Katie) Morning and Jason Morning; siblings: Don (Linda), Nancy (Ken) Wittmer, Diane (Bob) Higbie, Ron (Patty) Morning and Steve (Heidi) Morning; sister-in-law: Joli Morning; one grandchild: April Higbie; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his father: Wilfred Morning; brother: Robert “Bob” Morning.

Following a private graveside service, there will be a celebration of life for friends and family at the White Birch from 12:00 – 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2024.
