Darold Robert Schuster

Darold Robert. Schuster, age 78, passed away on October, 4, 2016 in Bloomer. He was born on March 29, 1938 to Robert and Isabel (Scott) Schuster. He was married to his devoted wife, Arlette Borens, for 33 years. He was previously married to Geri (Meinen) Schuster, the mother of his children, Terry and Tammy, for 22 years.
Darold graduated from Bloomer High School in 1956 and attended UW Eau Claire for accounting. During college, he started an old-time band called the Jolly Norsemen. He also worked as an accountant for Bauman Associates CPA firm in Eau Claire. In 1971, he and two other partners, founded Extrusion Dies Industries in Chippewa Falls, currently a worldwide manufacturer of extrusion dies systems. He was also instrumental in starting Bloomer Plastics in Bloomer and Indianhead Plating in Chippewa Falls. In 1973, he became the youngest bank president in Wisconsin at the Farmers State Bank in Ridgeland. Darold continued as a business entrepreneur, banker and corporate consultant.
He was an avid outdoorsman, loved bird hunting, fishing, deer hunting and boating. He also had an incredible love of old-time music and ballroom dancing. Darold also treasured his time at the cottage on Sand Lake surrounded by family and friends.
Darold will be most remembered for his exceptional generosity, strong work ethic, competitive spirit, strength of character and unfailing leadership. He was an inspirational role model for us all, always available to help a family member or friend in need.
He is survived by his wife: Arlette Schuster of Bloomer; mother: Isabel Schuster of Bloomer; son: Terry (Marylou) Schuster of West Bend; daughter: Tammy (Jonathan) Ross of Hartland WI; daughter-in-law: Amy (Dean) Berlin of Eau Claire; grandchildren: Matthew, Rachel, Ellie, Holly, Chelsie, Kaylie, Leslie, Melodie and Gus; Geri (Meinen) Schuster his former wife.
He is preceded in death by his father: Robert Schuster and stepson: Derek Scheider.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11:30 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer with a visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Interment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Eau Claire. Olson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
