Darlene P. Stolt, age 85 passed away Thursday, February 06, 2020 at the Meadowbrook in Bloomer. She was born on October 7, 1934 to Edward and Elsie (Whitsell) LaGesse. She married DeWayne Stolt on August 28, 1954 in Bloomer. Darlene worked in the kitchen and in housekeeping at the Bloomer Hospital for many years. She was an avid sports fan and loved watching all sports, especially rooting for the Brewers, Packers, and Badgers. She was known for her cooking, especially her famous potato salad. In her free time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by three sons: Gary (Rita) Stolt of Bloomer, Roger (Kim) Stolt of Albert Lea MN and Billy (Jennifer) Stolt of Bloomer; two daughters: Mary (Doug) Gervais of Bloomer and Carol (Randall) Schick of Chippewa Falls; brother: Jesse (Sharon) LaGesse of Bloomer; sisters: Charlotte Kern and Janet Bowe of Chippewa Falls and Kathy LaGesse of Bloomer; daughter-in-law: Cheri Stolt; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: DeWayne; children: Wayne “Skeeter” Stolt, Loren Stolt, Susie Stolt, and Kerry Stolt; grandson: Lucas Wayne Stolt; brothers: Junior, Clyde, Wally, James and Gerald LaGesse;
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 3:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bloomer. There will be a visitation from 1:00-3:00PM at the church before the service. Interment will be in the Bloomer cemetery on Monday. Olson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
