Danny D. Arendt, age 75, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Maplewood in Bloomer. He was born on May 18, 1936 in Dairyland, Wisconsin to Donald and Alberta (Fischer) Arendt. He married Evone “Midge” Swartz on September 6 1958 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer. Danny was a meat cutter in Minneapolis and then became a milk hauler. He was also the owner/operator of Golden Glow Dairy and the Sundial Supper Club. Danny was a member of the Lions Club, the Chamber of Commerce, Bloomer Moose Lodge and St. Paul’s Catholic Church. In his free time he enjoyed cooking at family cookouts, hunting, fishing, race car driving, dancing and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife: Evone “Midge” of Bloomer; daughters: Christy Durch and Cherie Bowe both of Bloomer; sons: Curt (Lorre), Chad (Barb), and Craig Arendt all of Bloomer; brother-in-law Merrill Rasmussen of Forest Lake MN; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his Parents; son-in-law: Bobby Durch; sister: Donna Rasmussen; grandson: Jeremy Arendt.
A mass will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Bloomer at 4:00 PM on Friday, May 18, 2012 with Father John Potackak officiating. There will be a visitation from 12:00-3:30 PM on Friday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer.
