Dale Johnson

Dale R. Johnson, age 63, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at his home. He was born February 26, 1948 in Racine, Wisconsin to Joseph and Ferne (Ziebell) Johnson. He worked as a dairy farmer in the New Auburn area and was a skilled mechanic. He liked driving his Allis Chalmers tractors and watching all sports, especially boxing, baseball and football. He was a real jokester and enjoyed giving people nicknames, teasing and socializing on the telephone.

He is survived by two sons: Jason (Debra) Johnson of North Branch MN and Dale (Jennifer) Johnson of New Holstein WI; one daughter: Wendy (Carl) Mattson of New Richmond; two brothers: Robert (Mary) Johnson of Marshfield and Duane Johnson of Eau Claire; two sisters: Nancy (Harvey) Paepke of Racine and Sherri (Scott) Maciosek of St. Germaine WI; six grandchildren: Cody and Makenzi Mattson, Reid, Erin and Gabriel Johnson, Kameryn Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph & Ferne (Ziebell) Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. Interment will be in the New Auburn Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 on Friday and up to the time of service on Saturday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer.
