Dale Merle Channing

Dale M. Channing, age 67, perished in his home January 29, 2019. He was born on January 17, 1952 in Chippewa Falls to Merrill & Florence (Ziebell) Channing. Dale attended Bloomer High School and has been residing at the original Channing homestead in New Auburn, WI for most of his life as a dairy farmer. Dale loved being with his "girls" in the barn, milking them & farming. He adored his nieces & nephews, his John Deere tractors & deer hunting with his friends and neighbors. He was loved by his family, neighbors & the Amish community. Dale had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back to help someone. He enjoyed driving his Amish friends around and being included in their fellowship with good home cooking.

He is survived by three siblings: Phyllis, Curtis (RuthAnn), and Andy (Carol), nieces and nephews: Elizabeth, Michael (Crystal), Lisa, Kristi, Abel (Laura), Brad (Mina), Amanda, Morgan (Jake) and Brooke (Josh) and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Merrill and mother Florence.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 20th, 2019 at 2pm at the Freedom Community Church, 503 S. East Street - New Auburn, WI. Lunch to follow. Visitation from 12-2. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
