Cyril A. Bowe, age 94, passed away at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer on February 9, 2022 with his family by his side. He was born to Arthur and Alfreda (Steinmetz) Bowe on August 21, 1927 in Chippewa Falls. He married Jane Zenner on February 15, 1949 at St. Peters Church in Tilden. In 1960 Cyril and Jane bought the Barron Dray Line, delivering freight for three major truck lines and the Soo Line railroad. Then in 1970 one of the truck lines bought them out. Cyril was made District Manager over a 200 mile radius. He also took care of sales and claims. Cyril and family then moved to Rice Lake, Wis. where his office was located. Cyril also had 30 semi trailers he rented out for storage.
Cyril and Jane enjoyed going to the cabin on Bass Lake where he had 10 acres, he loved driving and cutting trails through the woods with his Ford tractor. he enjoyed it when the family came up and they went 4-wheeling, fishing, snowmobiling and hunting together. The family has many happy memories together.
He is survived by his wife of almost 73 years Jane; daughters: Sandra Schwab of Orlando, Judy (Dan) Lee of Hudson, Mary Schwab of Bloomer, Nancy Stodola of Rice Lake; son: Peter (MaryLou) Bowe of Hayward, brothers: Don (Glenna) and Roger (Irene) Bowe, 13 grandchildren: Raquel, Mike, Jody, Brian, Brad, Tara, Nickolas, Danielle, Karen, Tony, Stephanie, Adam, Jessica and 19 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Alfreda; brothers: Thomas and Orville Bowe; in-laws: Earl and Agnes Zenner.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with visitation from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
