Colette M. Knutzen, age 73, passed away at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer on March 19, 2018. She was born on April 28, 1944 in Lansing Michigan to Paul and Dorothy (Wilson) Wilke. Colette married Larry Knutzen on July 18, 1970 in Lansing. She worked as a secretary at the Pentagon and the Federal Aviation administration as well as working for a headmaster of a Christian High School in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and was involved in home schooling. She enjoyed camping, traveling, playing cards and board games.
She is survived by her husband: Larry, sons: Hans (Jessica) of Weyerhaeuser, and Jens (Stephanie) Knutzen of Rice Lake; daughters: Heidi (Wade) Friesen of Locust Grove, OK and Kirsten (Kevin) Townsend of Sand Creek; brothers: John Paul Wilke and David (Jo) Wilke both of Lansing; sisters: Paulette (Carl) Laing, Diane (Larry) Porter and Deborah Wilke; grandchildren: Joseph, Kathryn and Adam Friesen; Trinity, Solomon and Ella Knutzen; Tate, Arie and Bianca Townsend; Elise and Nora Knutzen; numerous nieces nephews other relatives and friends
She is preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Dorothy
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 6:00 PM at the School in Sand Creek located at E9311 County Road I, Sand Creek, WI 54765 with Pastor Robert Koepp officiating. There will be a visitation from 5:00-6:00 PM before the service at the school in Sand Creek. Interment will be in July. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
