Clement J. Arcand, age 92, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011 at his home. He was born October 17, 1918 in White Bear Lake, MN to Napoleon and Mary (Peloquin) Arcand. He married Doris Mae Einum on June 30, 1951 in Hudson. He worked as a dairy farmer, a welder, a cement mason and brick Layer. He was a member of the National Farmers Organization (NFO), the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and the Bloomer Rod and Gun Club. Clem and Dorrie loved traveling, visiting all 50 states plus England, Holland, Mexico and Canada. He also enjoyed farming, working outdoors, gardening, fishing, hunting, playing five hundred and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife: Dorrie of Bloomer; two sons: John Arcand of Prairie Farm and Rory (Dorothy) Arcand of Prairie Farm; five daughters: Kathleen (Lowell) Arcand-Jacobson of Bloomer, Karen (David) Arcand-Johnson of Maplewood MN, Sharon (Larry) Bartz of Morrison CO & Lauralee (Robert) Seidling of Bloomer and Kym Arcand of Bloomer; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 10 brothers and 4 sisters,
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer with Father John Potackak officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery in White Bear Lake, MN on Friday at 11:00 AM. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer.
