It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chanel Raye Miller. Chanel was born on November 29, 1987 in Modesto, CA to Brett and Jill (Lee) Miller. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer. Growing up Chanel was a child with a big heart, filled with wonder and amazement of the world around her. During her short life she would stand up for the disabled, or the person being bullied, even to her own peril. She was a sweet soul and loved to plant spices and flowers. She loved cooking, fishing and living with her Dad in Bloomer. In 2008 Chanel’s mom became ill with cancer. Chanel put her life on hold and took care of her mom for the next year until she passed away. Chanel was left with a hole in her heart that was never filled. We could never understand the depth of that hole, until now. Her family will miss her every day. Her dog, Baby, lays by her bedroom door awaiting her return.
Chanel is survived by her dad: Brett; brother: Shane; sister: Natasha; grandmothers: Judy Lee and Gloria Miller; aunts and uncles: Rick and Julie Gorton (her Godparents) Jim and Gennine Lee, Nate and Becky Splett, and Brock Miller. She is also survived by cousins, friends and a special friend, Richard Jaworski of Key West Florida, whose friendship and faith in Chanel never wavered.
She is preceded in death by her mother: Jill and grandfather: Ray Miller
We will say our goodbyes to Chanel with a visitation at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer on Saturday May 5, 2018 at 1:00-2:00 PM with a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
