Carolyn M. Bergh

Carolyn M. Bergh, age 77, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Heath Systems Hospital in Eau Claire, WI.  

Carolyn was born on June 9, 1947, in Eau Claire, to Marlin and Gladys (Stenseth) Hammond. She attended school in Eau Claire and graduated from North High School. On January 8, 1966, Carolyn married Robert C. Bergh at Bethel Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Carolyn worked at Uniroyal Rubber Company in Eau Claire and New Auburn Schools as a cook. She loved cooking, preparing meals for her family, embroidery, quilting, painting and needle point. 

Carolyn is survived by her sons: Mark (Jill) of Bloomer and Mike (Wendy) of New Auburn; four grandchildren: Mitchell, Issac, Madilyn and Karsten; one great grandchild: Leonna; and two siblings: Earl Hammond and Jennie Higgins. 

 She was preceded in death by her parents: Marlin and Gladys Hammond; husband: Robert Bergh in 2016; and sister: Charlotte Hammond. 

 The family would like to thank the care givers who have been with Carolyn over the years: Darla Turner, Sue Gehl, Kate Trowbridge, Rose Powell, Patty Rhin, Kay McGill and Isabel Rubenzer. 

 A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Bloomer Cemetery.
