Bonnie Marie Weber was born July 22, 1941, to Thomas Arthur and Helen Marie Withrow in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She passed from this life on May 23, 2023, at 81 years of age at Mayo Clinic Health System – Chippewa Valley in Bloomer, Wisconsin.
Bonnie married Howard William Weber on October 29, 1960, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer.
Bonnie’s family was her pride, and joy. Together, she and Howard raised seven children on the family dairy farm. Her faith was very important to her and her life reflected that with her involvement in many church activities. She was the secretary at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Bloomer, and the Director of the Resource Center for the ELCA’s Northwest Synod of Wisconsin. Bonnie and Howard pastored St. John’s Lutheran Church, Gilman, WI, and helped found and lead the Lay School of Ministry of the ELCA’s Northwest Synod of Wisconsin.
Bonnie enjoyed sewing and quilting, cheering on her grandchildren at their various sporting events, and playing cribbage, Canasta, and 500. Bonnie loved tending her flowers in the summer and watching the birds that visited her feeders year-round. She was an accomplished cook and baker; her chicken and dumplings, apple pies, and cheesecake were family favorites. From an early age, Bonnie was an avid sports fan, spending hours listening to and scoring Milwaukee Braves games, and she grew to love the Brewers and Packers. Enjoying classic movies and television, she especially loved Blue Bloods.
Bonnie is survived by children Laura (Steve) Weber-Meyers of Englewood, CO; Gary of Bloomer; Douglas (Gil) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Diane (Ronald) Weber-Brand of Superior, WI; Robert (Cathy) of Bloomer; Carolyn (Trent) Weber-Kreitlow of Sun Prairie, WI; and Becky (Steve) Caron of Sun Prairie.
