Arnold C. Windsor, age 91, passed away Milestone Senior Living in Eau Claire on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. He was born on March 7, 1933 to Galand and Almira (Marek) Windsor in the town of Cooks Valley. On July 26, 1958, he married Marlene Rihn at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer. Arnie worked as a mechanic for the Farmer’s Union and then later in life as a gas attendant. He could often be seen taking walks around town, especially in the morning on his way to get coffee. Arnie was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading, playing cards, watching sports, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Arnie is survived by his wife: Marlene; daughters: Debra Windsor of Rosemont, MN and Sandy (Rodney) Schmidt Jr. of Eau Claire; 2 granddaughters, Gracie Kressin and Sammi Windsor; 1 step-granddaughter: Samantha (Kade Nelson) Schmidt; and 2 step great-grandchildren: Grayson and Shawn; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Galand and Almira Windsor; brothers: Herbert, Norbert, Marvin and Delmar Windsor; and sister: Vergean Stewart.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer with a visitation starting at 10:30 AM on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Bloomer Cemetery at a later date. Olson Funeral Home and Cremation Center is assisting the family.
