Arlene M. (Zwiefelhofer) Waldofski 86, passed away Sunday Sept. 20th 2015 at the MCHS Maplewood in Bloomer WI. She was born on Oct. 15th 1928 to William and Mary (Dimmick) Zwiefelhofer.
Arlene married Verlyn Waldofski on Jan. 23 1947 in Bloomer at St. Paul’s Catholic Church where they remained active members all their lives. Arlene attended St. Paul’s Catholic School and Bloomer High School. She worked at Undershootz Poultry Factory in Chetek, The Bloomer Canning Factory, and Landscape Enterprises in New Auburn. She helped Verlyn on the farm, enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting and cooking for whoever came by…especially the grandkids and great grandkids. Together, she and Verlyn made quite a team; traveling to many states and Canada, fishing, snowmobiling and attending many horse pulls. In Arlene’s retirement years, she enjoyed going to play Bingo, solving crossword and word find puzzles. Arlene always had a smile where ever she went. She will be missed by family and friends.
Arlene is survived by four children: Julie (Lloyd) LaGesse, Bill (Joyce Hyde) Waldofski, Audrey (John) Shipman, all of Bloomer and Randall Waldofski of Cameron WI; one brother: Daniel (Marion) Zwiefelhofer; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Verlyn Waldofski in 2014; her parents William and Mary (Dimmick) Zwiefelhofer; sisters Alice (Norbert) Czuppa and Joyce (Arnold) Borofka; one great-grandchild: Charles Homann.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Father John Potaczek officiating. Interment will be in the South Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 on Thursday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer where there will be a Christian Wake Service at 7:30 PM.
