Anita Westerback

Anita L. (Bergren) Westerback, age 82, passed away at her home on Monday, September 7, 2020. She was born April 24, 1938 in Superior, Wisconsin to Victor and Mable (Christiansen) Bergren. She graduated from Superior Central High School where she was very active in the orchestra and band boosters. She then attended Milwaukee-Downer College. She married Dale Westerback in January of 1959. Anita held several different jobs throughout her life, but her true joy was taking care of children. She and Dale ran Westy’s Yogurt Express Wagon for 7 years, traveling to local fairs and events. She was a member of the Eastern Star and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a gifted baker, especially when it came to Christmas cookies! She enjoyed camping, playing cards, dancing and spending time with her children and granddaughter.



She is survived by her husband: Dale of Bloomer; daughter: Ann Westerback of Eagan MN; granddaughter: Emily Westerback of Northfield MN sister: Jeanine Vince of Port Huron MI.



She was preceded in death by her parents: Victor and Mable Bergren; son: Andrew Westerback; sisters: Delores Henry, Arlene Senn and Marion Szybinski.
